Hooked up with Arduino yet? Do you want to add programmable LEDs to your projects? Whether its programming sensors or building your own PC from scratch (as we did with here!) electronics, robotics and automation is the way to go. Hold on to your thrones, cause here is the Game of Drones.
In our electronics lab you will find oscilloscopes, function generators, AC and DC power supplies and converters, everything you will need for soldering from simple parts to smd, breadboards, microcontrollers (Arduinos, Raspberry pi, Lilly pads), LEDs, LED strips, DC motors, stepper motors, an assortment of sensors and of course anything you will need to finish any project from resistors and capacitors to precision screwdrivers and screws. You will also find small kits to try out and also for the younger makers a set of Little Bits.
As much as we love digital fabrication, the love for craftsmanship is the source of making. It’s critical to understand and learn the crucial elements of woodworking to complete many projects. Hand Made, yours truly.

Corded drills have more power but are tethered by the cord and may lack some of the features that cordless drills have, like torque control.

Circular Saw

A circular saw is a power-saw using a toothed or abrasive disc or blade to cut different materials using a rotary motion spinning around an arbor.

Hand Router

A router is a hand tool or power tool that a worker uses to rout (hollow out) an area in relatively hard material like wood or plastic. Routers are mainly used in woodworking, especially cabinetry. Routers are typically handheld or fastened cutting end-up in a router table.

Jigsaws are great for curved cuts that have a tight radius. There’s interchangeable blades that can be used for fine cuts or faster coarse cuts, and different lengths of blades. Your jigsaw will have a adjustable base that lets the angle of the cut be set – a standard feature.

Orbital Sander

An orbital sander has an adhesive base that sanding pads can be easily and quickly interchanged. Look for a sander that has a variable speed which will allow you to refine your sanding and can provide less fatigue, and pick up a few extra sanding pads of different grits.

Mitre saw

A miter saw is a saw used to make accurate crosscuts and miters in a workpiece by pulling a large backsaw or a mounted circular saw blade down onto a board in a quick motion.

Power planer

Handheld planers are designed to smooth the surface of wood. The manual handheld planer is good for smaller projects, but for larger ones, a power planer does the job in a lot less time.

Scroll saw

A scroll saw is a small electric saw used to cut intricate curves in wood, metal, or other materials. The fineness of its blade allows it to cut more delicately than a power jigsaw, and more easily than a hand coping saw or fretsaw. Like those tools, it is capable of creating curves with edges, by pivoting its table.

Surface planer

A thickness planer is a woodworking machine to trim boards to a consistent thickness throughout their length and flat on both surfaces.

Using vector files, they can easily cut through various materials such as: cardboard, foamed paper and heat transferable vinyl. They can have applications such as: cutting packaging maquettes, stickers and stencils for application to a fabric by a thermal press which we also have. The maximum width that can be cut is 30 centimeters, while there is no limitation on the length of the material. The maximum possible material height is 2 mm of foam paper.
